Anna Hekekyan

Anna Hekekyan is a director, screenwriter, reciter, presenter, theatrical pedagogue, professor. She started teaching at Yerevan Choreographic College and High School of Dancing Art and Plastique and State Music College named after Romanos Melikyan. Anna Hekekyan teaches at Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography, ongoing. She is also a dean of this theatre. Since 1980 she worked as a director in Public Television of Armenia. Since 1990 she works at the cultural section of the editorial office of Public Radio of Armenia, as a director. She performed radio programs: “Satire and Humor”, “Voice of Elder”, “Theatre of one actor”, “Portfolio”, “Time of Prosy”, “From our sound library fund”.As reciter and broadcaster, she did a lot of recordings in Armenian, Russian. Many of them are stored in the fund of Public TV Company of Armenia. More than 500 recordings in Armenian and Russian were made by Anna Hekekyan for Vem Radio. These recordings are stored in the fund of Vem Radio.

Anna Hekekyan performed in many regions in Yerevan, Armenia, also in France, Cyprus, Israel, Switzerland, Austria, Latvia Lithuania, and Russia.  Anna Hekekyan did backups and recording of feature, documentary, and animation films in Armenian and Russian commissioned by Public TV Company of Armenia, “Yerevan” studio, “ArmenAkob” TV company and “Hayfilm” film studio. Anna Hekekyan translated feature and animated films and plays from Russian and English. She has published methodological manuals and articles in scientific collections and press. She is the author of stage speech teaching methods.  Anna Hekekyan has been a full member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences (Hannover) since 2006. Anna Hekekyan was awarded the Movses Khorenatsi Medal.
