Singing Armenia Republic Competition of Youth Choirs has been held since 2001 on the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia, the Municipality of Yerevan, the Music Society of Armenia and the Armenian Little Singers International Association.
The purpose of the competition is to support, discover new choirs, share works by Armenian composers, as well as to promote aesthetic education and upbringing.
Children choirs of public and art schools, youth of creative centers, cultural and non-governmental organizations from Armenia ,Artsakh and Javakh can participate in the Singing Armenia Republican Competition of Youth Choirs.
Choirs under the guidance of directors and conductors included in the competition committee (jury) cannot participate.
The choir competition is held in two stages and finishes with Gala concert.
The first, second and third prizes are intended for choirs.
