In 1991 the Choir had won the Third Prize at the Arnhem International Choral Competition in Holland.
In 1991 the Choir soloist Anahit Shakhnazarian had been awarded two gold and one silver medals at the "Eisteddfod’’ International Competition, in Roodepoort, South Africa.
In 1992 the choir had won both the Grand Prix and the gold medal at the Takarazuka International Chamber Chorus Contest in Japan.
